For those of you reading this for the first time, let me enlighten you. This blog was created as a way to communicate updates of a current health situation with family and friends. I know so many are praying for me and I just felt it right to keep everyone informed. And quite frankly I don't have time to sit down and call everyone...but that doesn't mean you're not important!
My scare all started with lumps found in my right breast, no need to blush, we all have them...breasts I mean. You can read the rest to find out how my experience unfolds and please keep me and my family in your prayers as well. I know it's through answered prayers that I found the strength to turn this situation around and live without fear, because I know who's in control and thank goodness it's not me!! I may not know what tomorrow holds but I'm glad I have a relationship with the God who does!
This blog is not meant to offend anyone with my "boob" humor. I take this situation very seriously and it is scary but after crying for over a week (and being inspired by a fellow bloggers recent scary experience focusing on the funny - Thanks Jen!) I realized I could continue to cry and think the worst or I could find humor in the situation and hopefully make others laugh as well. It's just good therapy, people.
It is my hope that this blog does not remain focused on my boobs, cause let's face it , it makes all of us a bit uncomfortable. It is also my hope to provide support to others who may be going through scary times like this, to get words of wisdom from those who have, and to provide awareness for those who haven't. To my grandmother who battled breast cancer and is now in heaven, to my cousin, mother-in-law and mother of a friend who have fought and won their own battles and to all the other women out there who have battled breast cancer you are my heroes.

Hey Michelle, truly you are a blessing to share this intimate and horrific ordeal in such a funny way brings tears of both kinds to my eyes. I had breast cancer in April 2008 and had surgery and was healed. Gosh I wish I had such display of bravery as you. Thanks for the uplifting encouragement during times of trial. You are showing the face of Jesus in your actions. Thanks. Sunny
